Here is my finished mini
Underground Railroad quilt. It measures 23" square. I guess I have always wondered how people could mis-treat slaves as they did back in the days. It just seemed so wrong. After reading the
Elm Creek book Series, I my interest peeked in how quilts played a role in helping free slaves.
I purchased the
Quilt in a Day book of the Underground Railroad and chose to make the 6" blocks.
I wanted something small and quaint to hang up and remind me just how important freedom is.
I think I'll name it,
The Little Engine That Could
